What is your policy regarding sale merchandise?
All sale merchandise purchased in store and on line is considered a final sale and may not be returned.
When I order online, how I can be sure that my bag will look the same as pictured?
Though we strive to attain the highest quality in all areas of craftsmanship, by virtue of our production process there may be slight variations in color and texture -- subtle differences and "asymmetries" which are characteristics of products produced with purely handcrafted methods.
Our leathers may become darker with exposure to the sun, air and daily use. They will develop a lovely patina over time. These characteristics give our products originality that distinguishes them from other leather goods. We like to consider this not a flaw, but rather a development of individual character.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. Please keep in mind that colors may appear differently on your monitor or viewing device.
What do you charge for shipping?
We charge a flat rate of $10 for all ground shipping within the Continental US. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $50 for 2nd-day and $75 for next day.
How long will it take to receive my online order?
Depending upon your location, you can expect to receive your order within 3-7 business days. If you need it sooner we offer the following expedited shipping options within the continental US: 2nd-day starting at $40. Overnight starting at $70.
Expedited orders must be received before 2pm PT in order to be shipped that same day. We ship Monday - Friday. Weekend orders will be shipped out the following business day (Monday, unless it is a holiday).
How can I track my order?
You will receive an email shipping confirmation and tracking number when your item ships.
Do you ship to Canada or internationally?
We do not accept international orders at our online store. If you live outside the United States and would like to place an order, please call one of our stores for assistance (310.275.3261).
May I return or exchange an item I purchased online?
These instructions must be followed in order to return or exchange an item:
Contact us within 7 days from the time you received the item.
Obtain a return authorization (RA) number from our Customer Care either by email hello@jdrandcompany.com or by phone (310.275.3261). We will not be able to accept returns without a return authorization.
All items returned must be free of any wear and tear, stains, odor or anything else that would prevent them from being sold as-new. In addition to being in the same as-new condition that they were received, all returned merchandise must include the receipt, original tags, and the cloth bag in which it was shipped.
Customers are responsible for any shipping costs associated with merchandise returned or exchanged. Please note that JDR and Company cannot be responsible for return packages lost in transit.
It is highly recommended that you receive a tracking number for any merchandise you are shipping to us.

If I return an item purchased online, will I receive a refund exchange it for a different color?
Online returns may be refunded or exchanged. Once we have received the returned item we will refund the cost of the merchandise, including taxes but minus shipping fees, to the original form of payment. And of course we are always happy to exchange new merchandise for a different color or style.
Refunds are processed upon receipt and should show up on your records within 72 hours. However, some credit card companies may take up to 10 days to reallocate funds.
May I return an item to the store if I purchased it online?
Would you like to visit the store to exchange a style or color? No problem. Merchandise from JDR can be exchanged in our retail store. We cannot however issue a refund in our stores for purchases made online. The same return/exchange conditions as above will apply.
I purchased an item from one of the brands you carry, from another store. I would like to exchange it for a different color. Can I exchange it at your store?
We can only accept returns or exchanges of merchandise purchased at our stores and at JDRandCompany.com. We’re sorry, but we cannot make exceptions.
* Please remember that merchandise bought in our retail stores may only be exchanged or returned for a store credit.
Gifts without a receipt may be exchanged or returned for store credit, as long as the item is in original as-new condition with original tags and packaging.
What do I do if I believe my bag is defective?
All merchandise is quality controlled at each step of production and before it is sent to customers. If you feel that you have received a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately upon receipt of that item. All damage claims must be reported within 72 hours of items receipt, so please contact by phone or email. Digital images of the damage as well as any damage to packaging, are required.
If a manufacturing fault occurs within one year of purchase, we will be happy to repair the product. Items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be defective. However we will be glad to recommend a repair service if one is needed.
When I place my order on line, is that price and item guaranteed?
All prices and merchandise information are accurate to the best of our ability. If in the extremely rare case an item has been listed incorrectly, JDR reserves the right to refuse the sale. We will make every effort to offer the item again with corrected pricing. If your credit card has been charged for merchandise with incorrect pricing , or for any merchandise that is out of stock, we will immediately contact you through the email or phone number you have provided, and as well issue a credit to your credit card in the amount of the charge.
